"Windlab Systems is a world-leader in the development and application of atmospheric modelling systems used to locate and develop wind energy sites globally. Currently the identification of potential wind energy sites is highly speculative. Windlab Systems has demonstrated an ability to locate “better wind energy sites, faster”. Windlab Systems works both individually and with partners, using its suite of prediction and analysis tools to identify and develop prospective wind energy sites, with better wind resources and a lower risk profile.Supported by an increasing number of governments mandating renewable energy targets and the development of carbon trading, wind energy is expected to remain the fastest growing sector of the renewable energy industry over the medium term. Windlab Systems was founded in 2003 and is a spin-out from CSIRO. Innovation Capital invested as lead investor in 2007. Windlab Systems are headquartered in Canberra, Australia
